HOW TO: WAFFLES
B R E A K F A S T
I just want to start by saying that I originally made 3 of these waffles, however as I put the plate down, the third slid off. Which I was not impressed with as it looked beautiful, with some lovely sweet glace cherries on top.
Despite the little incident, I decided to make do with the two waffles left instead of making one more, as I was starving and wanted to eat them.
You see, most bloggers, youtubers, chefs or anyone really would make their own waffles. But that is not what I am about. I enjoy being creative with what I have, and that is exactly what happened here.
Rummaging through the cupboard, I found a brand new unopened pack of waffles that my 13 year old sister usually eats for her breakfast before school. After concluding that there were no opened packs in the main cupboard, I ripped this pack open and pulled three out.
I popped them in the toaster and left them. Only for a minute or two whilst I waited for them to heat up a bit.
In the meantime, I got a tub of 'Low Fat' natural yoghurt from the fridge and set it aside with a tablespoon. Once I popped the waffles back up, with a little help from my mum, I popped them on the plate and added a tablespoon of the yoghurt to the bottom right of each waffle.
At this point I still had no idea what I was going to top them with, so I rummaged through the fridge and grabbed a punnet of red grapes. I ended up only using 2 grapes after having cut them in half.
Next, I spotted some milk chocolate sprinkles, so I sprinkled a bunch on the yoghurt of one of the waffles.
Lastly, I placed some chopped-in-half glace cherries on the third (ill-fated) waffle.
I finished off by sprinkling all the waffles with some icing sugar, and found a small pot and poured in some clear honey.
If you recreate this breakfast, please do not drop one of your waffles, it's sad as well as messy. But please send me pictures of your creations if you do decide to create your own! (ps - the waffles were bought in Lidl if you don't know where to get them from) :)
